| Bio: | Welcome to my new public LiveJournal, which I will use to discuss matters of faith, politics, morals, arts and culture, social justice and other matters of public interest. My own background is that of a lifelong Lutheran in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada. I am also pursuing the path of ordained ministry in that church, though presently I'm taking a short break after getting my BA in Museum and Heritage Studies at the University of Calgary. "... we are all priests... and all have one faith, one Gospel, one Sacrament; how then should we not have the power of discerning and judging what is right or wrong in matters of faith?" ~ Martin Luther. I also self-identify as a Goth... You know, black clothing, weird hair, spooky music, the whole thing... My spiritual journey has been varied - though praise be to God, never drifting too far from Her - and presently has brought me around to being a pacifist, anarchist and socialist, with a strong understanding of my own tendency towards Mediaeval patterns of thought and theology. If I were to distill my whole faith and theology down to a simple premise, it is that God is Love. Everything I have to say on the subject is ultimately based on that belief, that experience.
